How does Tadagra Professional 20 mg work?

When the body works normally, sexual arousal releases Nitric Oxide which turns on guanylate cyclase. It is an enzyme that increases the production of Cyclic guanosine monophosphate(cGMP). PDE5 on the other hand, breaks down cGMP which makes it less available. As a PDE5 inhibitor, Tadalafil stops cGMP from breaking down. High amounts of cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles in the genital arteries, which increases blood flow and makes it easier to achieve an erection. 

Dosage 

The recommended first dose is 10 mg which should be taken about 30 minutes before sexual activity. Use as and when prescribed by the medical practitioner. For BPH, the general dosage is 5 mg orally at the same time everyday.

• Antifungals & HIV Protease Inhibitors: Ketoconazole, ritonavir, itraconazole can increase tadalafil levels in the blood leading to more side effects
• Antihypertensives: Antihypertensives may interact with Tadalafil, precaution should be followed
  
• Epilepsy Drugs: Phenytoin, carbamazepine and phenobarbital can reduce the effectiveness of Tadalafil
• Grapefruit or grapefruit juice: Concomitant use of grapefruit and Tadalafil can increase the risk of side effects
